NEWS IN BRIEF
- Tue 9th MAR: Gold Coast Titans will take on the New Zealand Warriors in the opening round of the NRL this Sunday Mar 14 at Skilled Park on the Gold Coast.
- Mon 8th MAR: Joel Parkinson, following his 5th placing in the first round of the ASP tour will next travel to Bells Beach in Victoria to defend his World Surfing crown at the end of March. Taj Burrow from Western Australia took first place at the Quicksilver Pro at Burleigh Heads from Jordy Smith.
- Mon 8th MAR: Stephanie Gilmore strarted off the year exactly where she left off at the end of 2009, leading the ASP rankings for womens surfing by winning the Roxy Pro at Snapper Rocks on Saturday. The current World Champion was in blistering form to take out her 'hometown' title for the third time since 2005 when she won the event as a seveteen year old.
